Nothing But Nets is a global, grassroots campaign to save lives by preventing malaria, a leading killer of children in Africa. Hosted by United Nations Foundation and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, this Malaria Boot Camp will engage University of Michigan and other area students in an interactive workshop to learn more about the epidemiology and prevention of malaria and develop the communications and advocacy skills to save lives in Africa. Speakers include Mark Wilson, Director of the Global Health Program at the University of Michigan's School of Public Health, Dr. Edward Walker, Professor of Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Michigan State University, and a special appearance by Detroit Pistons legend John Long.
